  • 1 cup medium or small grain white rice

  • 2 tbsp seasoned rice vinegar

  • ¼ cup real Alaskan crab meat or imitation crab meat

  • 6 oz 6 thin slices sushi-Grade Salmon

  • 2 to 3 slices of avocado

  • ½ tsp sriracha (optional)

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)

How to Make Alaska Roll Sushi

  • Cook the Sushi Rice: First of all, you need to wash the rice in a fine-mesh strainer. In a saucepan or instant pot add washed rice, 1 tsp salt, and water. Cook it for 6 to 12 minutes in a high-pressure setting. After that make sure to cool down the rice slightly and add sushi vinegar with it and mix well. Cook the Sushi Rice
  • Make Ready the Spicy Crab Mix: You may shred Alaskan crab meat or imitation crab meat. You can also use air-fried crab meat. Take a bowl to mix Alaskan crab meat or imitation crab meat with sriracha and mayonnaise. Make Ready the Spicy Crab Mix
  • Spread Sushi Rice on Bamboo Mat: Now it’s your turn to lay the bamboo mat with one piece of plastic wrap on the top. Use scissors and fold the seaweed paper in half. After that, place half of the nori towards the underpinning of the bamboo mat. Dip your hands into vinegar water, then take ¾ cup of cooked rice to spread it in a thin layer of seaweed paper.   • Add Avocado and Crab Mixture: In this step, you can add avocado, crab mixer, and on the middle, and top of the seaweed paper.  Add Avocado and Crab Mixture
  • Make Perfect Sushi Roll: To make a perfect sushi roll you need to place your thumbs just underneath the bamboo mat and then lift the edge up and over the sushi filling. After doing that roll the bamboo mat away from you and to tighten the roll apply some pressure.Make Perfect Sushi Roll
  • Topping Alaska Sushi Roll: You can top your Alaska sushi roll with a thin slice of fresh salmon fish, and then on the top place a plastic wrap and simply cover your sushi. To prevent the knife from getting too sticky after each slice you can wipe and slice with a wet towel. Topping Alaska Sushi Roll
  • Slice the Sushi Roll: Put your sushi roll on a cutting board and slice it with a sharp knife. You can slice 1 sushi roll into 6 to 8 single pieces.Slice the Sushi Roll
