Who doesn’t love to have yummy spicy tartar sauce with seafood dishes? Because this yummy sauce is really fun to eat with kind of fried, crispy meat and fish items. This Long John Silvers Tartar Sauce brings its authentic savory and sour flavor when it is made at home by following the proper steps. 

Even it can play better than any other dip you will buy from markets. This dip is perfectly a standard dish with fried shrimp, salmon, tilapia, chicken, and beef items at the snacks party.

There is nothing complicated matter thinking of this easy dip. It’s much easier than your think. This recipe takes just a couple of minutes to prepare and serve. Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise- 1 cup.

  • Dill pickles chopped – 3 tsp.

  • Lime juice – 1 tsp Chopped capers- 1 tsp.

  • Chopped dried dill – 1 tsp.

  • Worcestershire sauce – 1 tsp.

  • Dijon mustard paste – 1 tsp.

  • Ground black pepper and salt- 1 pinch of.

  • Fish slices- 8-10 slices. 

  • Paprika powder- 1 tsp.

  • Old bay seasonings – 1 tsp.

  • All-purpose flour – 1.5 cup

  • Baking powder – 1 tsp.

  • Oil- 1 cup for frying fish.

HOW TO MAKE Long John Silvers Tartar Sauce Recipe

  •  Chop the dill pickles: First, we need to chop some dill pickles which are completely refrigerated and fresh. It adds some savory and sweet-sour flavors.

  •  Chop capers: Chop 2 tsp of capers. Adding thus capers, the sauce gets sour and brines more. Though it’s optional, I prefer this yummy ingredient to make the recipe more delightful.

  •  Combine with dill: Now, we need to add some fresh dried dill flavors. Chop some dried dill and place all ingredients into a bowl. Combine them all finely using a spoon.

  • Add Worcestershire sauce and lime juice: Add 2 tsp of lime juice and 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce. Don’t need to add a lot. It makes the taste its best.

  • Allow Dijon mustard: Now, allow 1 tsp of dijon mustard paste. It hits with the extra zest of the sauce. Highly recommended, stirring together until the mixture turns into a thick creamy sauce.

  • Sprinkle seasonings: Finally, sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper. The quite simple and delicious tartar sauce is ready to serve with additional crispy chicken or seafood items.

  • Prepare the fish for fry: Take some pieces of salmon/tilapia/ cod fish slices.  Season them with salt, pepper, and 1 tsp of lime juice. Toss them well. And set aside.

  • Make a batter for fish: Now, bring a bowl and pour 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 tsp of baking powder.  Add smoked paprika and old bay seasonings. Combine them with a tsp of salt and butter. Let absorb the batter for 10 minutes.

  •  Fry the fish: Next, heat the vegetable oil on medium-high heat. Let the oil heat enough to place the fish. Now, dip the fish into the batter and coat them completely. Put the battered fish into the deep oil. Fry them and flip up until they turn out golden brown and crispy textured.

  • Remove the fish and serve with tartar sauce: Now,  remove the fried fish from heat and place them in a strainer to drain the oil. Season them with salt and pepper ground.  Finally, serve them with the frozen cool yummy tartar sauce.  Enjoy!
