How to make Jackson Morgan Salted Caramel

  • Heat the water and sugar mixture: Carefully turn on your stove and place the saucepan on it. You should ensure that the saucepan is neat and clean. Pour water into the sauce and add the sugar. Now, start heating the mixture. Also, pour in the vanilla extract to get its perfect caramel color. Finally, add the salt to the mixture.

You must continue heating the mixture properly until it turns an amber color. Adjust the heat and stir it when you continue heating it. It also helps the sugar to dissolve perfectly.

  • Add butter and continue heating: You need to look at the water and sugar mixture to see when it turns an amber color. When you detect the amber color, add the butter to it. Now, carefully stir the mixture with butter. It will allow the butter to melt in the sugar mixture.
We recommend you heat it in medium heat to avoid burning.
    Add butter and continue heating
  • Continue heating it until it thickens: At first, set your stove to medium heat. Then, you must continue heating and stirring the sugar, water, and butter mixture for around 8 to 10 minutes. Remove it from the saucepan when it thickens to get the caramelized look.
Now, pour some salted caramel onto a saucer and let it cool off to settle.

  • Dipping in Maldon salt: Maldon salt is revered worldwide for its unique pyramid shape. Also, its natural salty feel will elevate the taste of the Southern cream y whiskey of Jackson Morgan. After dipping the martini glass in caramel sauce, dip it in the Maldon salt slightly. Thus, the caramel will have a salty topping.

  • Prepare the Southern cream and other ingredients for the cocktail: At first, take a cocktail shaker bottle. Pour in the Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in it and add ice cubes to it. Then, add 1 part of Vermouth and a few drops of the orange bitters. Ideally, you can use 3 to 4 dashes of orange bitters.
Finally, add the previously prepared salted caramel into it. It will give a distinctive feel with the southern cream for perfection.

  • Shake the mixture and serve: Now, close the lid of the cocktail shaker. You need to continue shaking the mixture for 1 to 2 minutes. It helps the cream, caramel, and other ingredients to mix properly. After shaking the mixture for a couple of minutes, pour it into the coupe martini glass. Garnish it with a lemon leaf on the side, or simply serve it bare.

If you put some mixture on the outside of the glass, clean it before serving. It’s vital because a neat and clean, and well-decorated martini glass elevates your cocktail’s drinkability.
