I have to say the menu art of Mellow Mushroom was impressive, and their holy shiitake pizza is so delicious. It is one of the best pizzas I have had. I can’t even rave enough about how great the holy shiitake pizza recipe is!! Seriously, let’s make it now! 

However, Mellow Mushroom is an American pizza restaurant chain that was established in 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia as a single pizzeria. Do you know what holy shiitake is? It is a blend of shiitake, button, and Portobello mushrooms with Caramelized Onions on an Olive oil and Garlic base with Mozzarella and Italian MontAmore cheese drizzled with Garlic Aioli and a spritz of Black Truffle Oil. Usually, this pizza is garnished with fresh chives and shaved parmesan. 

This pizza is made with three kinds of mushrooms, which makes this pizza go from being just a pizza to being bomb-Diggity! Even mushroom haters may like this pizza. You will receive fiber and potassium when you top your pizza with mushrooms

I don’t mention the exact amount of the ingredients. The amount of sauce and toppings are a matter of personal choice. So, you can customize the amounts of sauce and toppings.   • Pizza bread (wheat flour, Appalachian spring water, and no refined white sugar

  • Vegan mayonnaise

  • Minced garlic

  • Lemon juice

  • Olive oil

  • Mushrooms (mix of baby Bellas mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and oyster mushrooms)

  • Adobo seasoning

  • Vegetable broth

  • Vegan Gouda cheese

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Make the garlic aioli: Take some vegan mayonnaise and pour them into a bowl. Now, add some minced garlic and stir them well. Then add some lemon juice and a little bit of Dijon mustard with this mix. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl. Pour the sauce into a bottle and set them aside.

  •  Make the garlic and oil base: Now, to make this base, you should combine olive oil with some minced garlic. Try to make it like a paste texture, so that you can spread it evenly throughout the pizza crust. Don’t make this base too oily, try to be careful about the amount of oil.

  • Cook the mushrooms: First, place a frying pan on the stove. Then saute some mushrooms and onions in a vegetable broth instead of oil. Because, it is a little bit healthier than oil. Than add some adobo seasoning to them. This seasoning will add extra flavor to your pizza. Cook the mushrooms for a few minutes.

  •  decorate pizza bread: First, spread the garlic and oil base. Then put some slices of vegan gouda cheese on the pizza bread. Now, top the pizza with cooked mushrooms. The next layer of this pizza is mozzarella cheese. And finally, top your pizza with garlic aioli sauce.
