how to make Delicious Mulberry Cobbler

  • Make the Mullberry Sauce: Turn on the stove, put a non-stick saute pan, and add rinsed well 1 cup of fresh mulberry, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 3 tablespoons of water.

Now stir with a rubber spatula and cook it on a high flame. Cook it until the mulberry gets softened and you get a thick mulberry sauce. Keep stirring frequently while making this sauce, so it doesn’t get burned.

  • Mix The Dry Ingredients: Take a large mixing bowl, add ¾ cup of all-purpose flour,  ¼ cup of caster or powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt ( as per taste), and give it a stir to combine well.
    Mix The Dry Ingredients
  • Make the Liquid Batter: Pour ¾ cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence into the dry ingredients and mix everything. You can use a hand whisk or whisk machine to whisk everything together. You have to make a smooth liquid batter, so whisk until everything gets mixed and turned into a smooth batter.
    Make the Liquid Batter
  • Ready The Mulberry Cobbler: Take a square shape baking mold, add 5 tablespoons butter, slice into pieces and bake it until melted. Finely spread the butter all over the baking tray, now pour the batter we made above, don’t need to spread it finely, just let it be how it is.

Then take a spoonful of mulberry sauce and place it in one corner of the batter. Then another spoon and another corner. Place all the mulberry sauce into the batter like this.
    Ready The Mulberry Cobbler
  • Bake The Mulberry Cobbler: Wear your hand gloves and put the baking tray in the preheated oven ( preheated at 350 degrees for 10 minutes) for 35- 40 minutes or until it turns golden brown.

Once time is up, take out the baking tray, and insert an old toothpick or wooden stick into the cobbler, if it comes all clean means it’s ready to serve. And if not then bake it for another 5 minutes, but be careful don’t overbake it.
    Bake The Mulberry Cobbler
  • Serve: Remove the mulberry cobbler from the oven, let it chill for a few minutes, cut it as per your need and serve. You can put some ice cream on top of it along with some fresh mulberry and parsley on the top.
