This recipe is all about easy instructions and available ingredients. Besides, you can bring some change if you want. This Outback Ahi tuna steaks recipe contains fresh tuna, miso mayo sauce,  spinach salad, and a special dip which I have seen this vinaigrette dip made at the Outback restaurants. It needs to be cooked in just greased pan. Marinating is optionally preferred.

Ingredients

  • Ahi Tuna steak- 2 pieces

  • Black pepper- 1 tsp

  • Paprika- 1 tsp

  • Kosher salt-1 tsp

  • Oil- 2 tsp

  • Soya sauce- 1 tsp

  • Sugar- 2 tsp

  • Apple cider vinegar- 1 tsp

  • Lime juice- 1 tsp

  • White sesame- 2 tsp

  • Black sesame- 2 tsp

  • Spinach for salad

  • Water- ½ cup

  • Tools
  • Knife

  • A large bowl

  • Make a miso-mayo batter: Bring a bowl and add 4 tsp of mayonnaise.  Allow 2 tsp of miso paste, and 1 tsp of rice vinegar together. Mix them neatly and keep them in the fridge to absorb.

  • Process the Ahi tuna steak:Cut some Ahi tuna fish into thick-cut slices. Sprinkle some kosher salt, ½ tsp of paprika powder, and black pepper ground on both sides. Coat the surfaces with enough sesame seeds. Sprinkle some black sesame seeds for extra flavors and yummy looks.

  • Cook the steak: Preheat a nonstick frying pan. Put 1 tsp of vegetable oil. Heat the stove to low or medium. Sear the steak into the oily greased pan.  Cook them up by pressing their flesh using a spoon.  Flip over after 45 seconds repeatedly.  Press each portion until the cook is complete.

  • Make a spinach salad:Boil some clean and fresh spinach for 2 minutes on high heat. Strain the water and let the leaves cool. Then, chop them roughly and squeeze out the extra liquid.

  • Make a salad batter: Toast 1/2  cup of sesame seeds on medium-low heat. Remove when it gets golden brown colored. Grind them halfway into the mortar or blender. Add 2 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp of lime juice, and 1 tsp of soya sauce. Mix together finely with a spoon. This dip is popular as wasabi vinaigrette.

  • Mix batter with spinach: Now, pour the batter into the prepared spinach. Combine them by stirring continuously. It makes the tuna steak more delightful with every bite.

  • Garnish with salads: Now, slice the tuna steaks into thick pieces. Keep them over the miso mayo sauce. Brush the slices with light butter and set the spinach salad beside it. Serve the dish alone or with plain white rice.  Both will be pretty tasty.
