This is purely a copycat recipe of Norris City Old Timers Recipe. Following their proper steps and elements, it comes out as a very quick and easy egg custard pie that doesn’t have any unnecessary things. Your nearest cooking elements are alone enough to make it by yourself. Silky and melting custard pie is mostly made with milk, eggs,  sugar, creams, and vanilla. It takes a few minutes maximum to make it perfect.


  • 6 eggs.

  • Half cup of hot milk

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 2 tsp of ground nutmeg.

  • 2 tsp of vanilla essence

  • 1/2 tsp of salt.

  • Blend eggs and sugar: First, you need to blend smoothly with a few ingredients. You must use a kitchen-aid mixer. Use four whole eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract. Turn on the mixer and blend them well.

  • Add condensed milk: After whisking for a few seconds, turn off the aid, and add 12 ounces of condensed milk into the mixture. Whisk it again for 3 minutes minimum. Take a break, and again start blending until it gets a thick batter.

  • Preparations for custard crust: You just need a bowl and a whisker. Then, add three eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2  vanilla essence into a bowl. Whisk and give it a light shade of cream.

  • Mix with hot milk: Now, take some boiled and hot milk, and pour four big spoons of milk into the egg-sugar cream. Make a savory texture and thick creamy mix.

  • Bake and out: Now, take a large baking pan. Grease it well and pour the creamy mixture into the pan. Bake it on a very low preheated rack in the oven.  After 10  minutes, bring it back when it gets dry and golden brown textured. Ready to use as a custard pie crust.

  • Pour the batter into the crust: Bring the first made batter, and pour it into the crust. Allow some crunching ground nutmegs.

  • Bake the custard pie: Now, send the raw custard pie to bake. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Send the baking pan and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Bring it back: After baking the custard pie,  bring it back and check its consistency,  clear and dry-edged sides, soft, warm centers but not burnt. If every point is perfect, then, let it absorb for a few minutes.

  • Serve: Set the pan on a wire rack and cool for almost 45 minutes. Keep it in a fridge for 4 hours. Then serve the delicious dessert.
