What ingredients are in seafood sauce? Usually, this simple sauce is made up of butter, onion, garlic, seasoning, parsley, pepper, and lemon juice. You can also customize the seafood sauce ingredients.

  • Butter (2 sticks)

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 3 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 cup of heavy cream 

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • 1 tbsp old bay seasoning

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Arrange ingredients in one place: To save your cooking time, arrange all the ingredients and necessary tools. These steps will make your cooking process easy for you.

  • Melt the butter: Now, place a medium cooking pot on the stove and add two sticks of butter.  Allow the butter to melt down at low, medium heat. To make this sauce less fatty and healthier, you can use one butter stick instead of two. You can also use vegetable or chicken broth to make this sauce healthier. Melt the butter
  • Add onion and garlic: add one small chopped onion.  Now saute the onion in the butter for about 3 minutes or until it becomes translucent. Then add 3 tbsp of minced garlic and saute them for 30 seconds or 1 minute. Stirring often so that the garlic does not burn. Add onion and garlic
  • Add the cream: Add 1 cup of heavy cream into the butter. Give them a wee stir to mix with butter. Cook them for 1 minute.

You can use Cayenne and red pepper flakes to make your sauce spicy. You should omit or decrease this seasoning if less or no spice is desired. Remember, don’t forget to adjust the seasonings to your satisfaction.
