Traditionally, Eggnog is made with raw eggs, sugar, egg yolk, heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract. Eggnog is often spiked with brandy and topped with cinnamon sticks or freshly grated nutmeg.

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 1 cup of heavy milk

  • 6 egg yolks

  • ½ cup of sugar

  • Pinch salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup of whisky (cognac/rum (optional))

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • Whisk sugar and egg yolk: take a large mixing bowl with 6 egg yolks and ½ cup sugar. Whisk them until light, fluffy, and thick after whisking, set them aside for a few minutes.

It will thicken more after cooling down completely. You can also chill this drink in the fridge until it becomes ready to serve.
