Jalapeno Chicken Salad is a refreshing and flavorful twist on the classic chicken salad that we all know and love. This recipe combines juicy and tender chicken with creamy mayonnaise, tangy lime juice, and diced jalapenos for a spicy kick.

It’s great as a sandwich filler, on top of greens, or put into a tortilla for a nice wrap. Not a fan of spices? Not a problem! For a milder taste, simply leave out the jalapenos. I can say that Jalapeno Chicken Salad is a tasty and simple meal that will quickly become a favorite. 

There are plenty of chicken salad recipes. But I personally like this salad whenever I want a spicy but healthy meal for my lunch.

This Jalapeno Chicken Salad can be made with rotisserie chicken or raw, cooked chicken breast that has been shredded into bite-sized pieces.

Serve it as a sandwich filling, on top of greens, or in a tortilla wrap for a delicious and easy meal. Keep scrolling for making the process

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Chicken Breasts,

  • ½  cup of onion,

  • 1 cup of Jalapeno Pepper

  • 1 cup of Dill Relish

  • 1 cup of Red Bell Pepper

  • ½  cup of Celery

  • 1 tsp Dill Seasoning

  • ½  tsp Black Pepper

  • ½  cup Greek Yogurt

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Pickle Jalapeño Juice/ ½ Lemon juice

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • Salt & Pepper

how to make Jalapeno Chicken Salad

  • Boil The Chicken Breast: Turn on the stove, put a pan fill with water and let it boil. Place the chicken breast in it, add salt and pepper and let it simmer for two minutes. Then lower the gas, cover the pan and cook the chicken until it’s cooked thoroughly.

  • Preparation: Take all the vegetables you like to add to the salad. In this salad, we will use vegetables like red bell pepper, celery, jalapeno peppers, and onions.

    Because all these are easy to find everywhere. Now finely dice vegetables, and keep them aside. Then cut a lemon into two portions, squeeze half of its juice, and keep it aside.

  • Shread, The Chicken, and Add The Vegetables: Once the chicken is cooked, take it out from the stove and let it cool down a little.

    Now use a fork and shred the chicken. Take a large mixing bowl, add the shredded chicken, 1 cup of Dill Relish, 1 cup of Jalapeno Pepper, ½ cup of diced onion, ½ cup of celery, and ½ cup of bell pepper. Give it a stir and mix.

  •  Mix All The Ingredients: Now, add the other ingredients one by one. Let’s name it and add. Add 1tablepspoon of pickle jalapeno or lemon juice, 1 tsp of dill seasoning, 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tsp of garlic powder, and salt as per taste. Mix all these ingredients again.

    Finally, add a/2 cup of yogurt and 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, and mix. Then add the pickle Jalapeño Juice or lemon juice, whatever you like.

  •  Serve: Once everything is mixed well, it’s time to serve. This jalapeno chicken salad is a versatile dish. You can eat or serve it as a salad, as a filling for a sandwich, or can also have it in a tortilla cup. It all depends on your taste.
