Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pound of fresh pork butt

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1 cup of apple cider vinegar

  • ¼ cup of kosher salt

  • 6 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of hot sauce

  • 2 tablespoons of yellow mustard seed

  • 1 tablespoon of celery seeds

  • 1 bay leaf

  • ¼ teaspoon whole black peppercorns

  • 1 cup ice

how to make Delicious Pickled Pork

  • Make The Pickle: Take a saucepan, fill it with 2 cups of water, and 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, and give it a stir. Now turn on the stove, and set it at high flame. Then add all the ingredients one by one, kosher salt, garlic cloves, sugar, hot sauce, celery seeds, yellow mustard seeds, black peppercorns, and bay leaf, and give it a stir.

  • Cook The Pickle: Wait until it boils, then stir it frequently and let it simmer for 3 minutes.

  • Add the ice: Once the pickled is cooked enough, spices start spreading smells, and turn off the stove. Add the ice cubes and keep stirring for a minute.

  • Ready The Pork: Rinse the pork very well, then, place them in a zipper bag. Pour the pickle we made above and lock the zipper bag. Try to make sure the zipper bag is free of any air.

  • Refrigerate: Put the pork in the fridge and let it be there for a minimum of 3 days. Keep fliipping the bag frequently. After 3 days, you can use this pickled pork. But make sure you finish it before 2 weeks. You should not store it in the fridge for more than two weeks, so use it before time passes.
